  1. I agree with him. Yes, we are printing money at ridiculous rates, but digitization of dollars makes the dollar available to people who didn’t have access to it before. So, we’ve increased supply of dollars, but stablecoins have increased demand accordingly.

    Of course, it won’t last. As bitcoin continues upward in value, those digital dollars will be traded for bitcoin. Also, as bitcoin rises in value it becomes less volatile. Then, it can become a unit of account and function, fully, as money, and much better money than the USD. But for now, USD is more stable, and so there will be a lot of demand for it.

    Even if you disagree with this analysis, you should cheer it on and repeat it whenever possible, because it’s a good argument against regulating bitcoin. When hyperbitcoinization happens, you can just say ‘wooops! guess i was wrong.’
