Usher sure knows how to keep things interesting, both on and off the stage! While rumors swirl about his supposed Las Vegas wedding with longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, the R&B sensation had a surprise guest cheering him on at the Super Bowl halftime show – his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
In a candid chat with Page Six, Foster couldn’t resist poking fun at the perks of being Usher’s former flame, quipping, “One of the perks of having Usher as an ex is going to the Super Bowl. It’s facts.” However, she made it clear that her dating standards are sky-high, asserting, “I’m not dating anybody that can’t take me to the Super Bowl.”
Despite their past, Foster couldn’t help but gush about Usher’s electrifying halftime performance, which featured an all-star lineup including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., Lil Jon, and Will.i.am. “I thought the Super Bowl was great,” Foster exclaimed, expressing her admiration for her ex-husband’s show-stopping performance.

But the spotlight isn’t just on Usher’s professional endeavors. Foster is gearing up for her own television debut in the upcoming reality series “Bold & Bougie” on WE tv, alongside cast members Malaysia Pargo, Crystal Smith, Gocha Hawkins, and Princess Banton-Lofters, set to premiere on Feb. 15.
Reflecting on her marriage to Usher, Foster highlighted the joys of parenthood while acknowledging the challenges of navigating public scrutiny. “The best part is that we have amazing children and they’re amazing and they’re cute,” she shared. “But, the worst part is doing an interview about [her upcoming] TV show and being asked about Usher.”
Addressing Usher’s new relationship, Foster maintained a diplomatic stance, asserting, “Love is love — as long as he finds love whatever juncture he’s in, in his life. I always encourage him to have good habits.” However, she didn’t shy away from discussing the unfair criticism she faced during their marriage, particularly regarding her skin color.
“I just don’t feel that black love is embraced anymore,” Foster lamented, highlighting the need to change societal perceptions and find men who share her values. Despite the challenges, Foster remains resilient, reflecting on her growth over the past decade.
As Usher’s romantic saga continues to captivate fans, one thing’s for sure – the drama never stops in the world of celebrity love affairs. Stay tuned for more updates on Usher’s whirlwind romance and Foster’s reality TV debut, as the saga unfolds!
