Mark Wahlberg, who played the unforgettable Sergeant Dignam, recently spilled the tea on a hilarious clash he had with Scorsese.
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow (Almost!) Back in the day, Wahlberg was supposed to be in The Departed for a short stint. This lined up perfectly with him growing his hair long for another movie, Invincible. But then, Hollywood scheduling happened!
Filming Feud: The Departed shoot dragged on, and Wahlberg’s long locks, meant for Invincible, became a point of contention with Scorsese. Wahlberg refused to cut his hair, and according to him, things got heated. He jokingly remembers Scorsese saying, “‘You’ve got to cut your f–king hair,’ and I [said], ‘I don’t give a f–k.'”
