Smith said that he was “happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life” and that he had “achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life.” He also admitted that his goals were “largely built on the foundation of Jada’s sacrifices.”

“Can you show up and love somebody for the rest of your life, even when you don’t agree with them?” Smith asked the crowd.

Smith later said that “Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life.

Last week, Pinkett Smith revealed in an interview with Hoda Kotb that she and Smith had been separated for seven years. She said that they were “both still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be” and that she had made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise.”

However, Pinkett Smith also said that they were working to fix their issues and “bringing our relationship, yes, bringing our relationship back together… back to a marriage again.”

It is unclear what caused Smith and Pinkett Smith to separate in the first place, but it is clear that they are committed to making their marriage work.
