Colbert Strikes Back: Trump’s Late-Night Return Rant Gets Billboard Spotlight!

Following a five-month hiatus due to the writers’ strike, major network late-night shows made a triumphant return, prompting none other than Donald Trump to voice his discontent. Trump took to his Truth social media platform, expressing his thoughts on the comeback of late-night television, labeling them as “talentless, low-rated CREEPS.”

Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show, responded with his trademark wit, humorously pondering how Trump stumbled upon their original podcast title, “Low-rated creeps of late night.” Colbert then delved into Trump’s subsequent message, where the former president claimed late-night talk shows were a significant campaign contribution to the Radical Left Democrat Party.

Colbert, seizing the opportunity, turned Trump’s words into a glowing review, suggesting it belonged on a Times Square billboard. And indeed, it did. The Late Show logo, a picture of Colbert, and Trump’s quote, “Watch what is going on – so interesting!” lit up Times Square.

Colbert couldn’t hide his satisfaction with the stunt, quipping, “Sir, thank you for the endorsement. I hope you get a chance to check out the billboard on the way to your next court appearance. Or Bubba Gump Shrimp appearance.” The host brilliantly used Trump’s words to create a moment of hilarious retaliation.
