In a chilling revelation, former White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin has disclosed that Donald Trump threatened to have a member of his own staff executed for leaking a story about him going to the bunker during the George Floyd protests.
Farah Griffin, who co-hosts the daytime talk show “The View,” recounted the incident during a Tuesday broadcast. She stated that Trump made the threat during an Oval Office meeting with a dozen other staffers shortly before her resignation in December 2020.
“And he said, ‘Whoever did that should be executed,'” Farah Griffin recalled Trump saying.
The incident, which confirms a similar account reported by Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Bender in his 2021 book “Frankly, We Did Win This Election,” highlights the alarming level of hostility and impulsiveness Trump exhibited during his presidency.
Bender’s book describes Trump’s reaction to the leak of his bunker visit as “furious.” He reportedly “boiled over” during a meeting with his aides, demanding that they “smoke out whoever had leaked it.”
Trump’s outburst was not limited to private conversations. Earlier this year, he publicly suggested that Gen. Mark Milley, then chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, should be executed for his actions during the January 6th Capitol riot.
The repeated threats of execution underscore Trump’s disregard for human life and his tendency to resort to violence in response to perceived betrayals. These incidents raise serious concerns about his temperament and fitness for public office.
