Meghan Markle is reportedly eager to make a comeback on the big screen, and she’s got her sights set on a leading role in Kevin Costner’s upcoming epic, Horizon.
According to an insider, the Duchess of Sussex has been working behind the scenes to angle for a part in the second half of the four-movie saga. “Meghan is using the unbelievable new success of her long-canceled series Suits, which is undergoing a revival on streaming, to convince Kevin she’s the key to his future success — and he’s listening,” the source claimed.
Markle is reportedly “pulling out all the stops” because she believes a role in Horizon “will cement her Hollywood comeback in spectacular fashion.” The insider added that it’s the kind of part that could cement her status as a serious actress.
Costner co-wrote, produced, directs, and stars in Horizon, which is set in the American West during the 1800s. The film tells the story of the expansion and settlement of the American frontier.
It’s unclear whether Costner will ultimately cast Markle in the film, but she’s certainly not the only one who has big wishes for the project. Horizon is being billed as one of the most anticipated film events in years, and it’s sure to open even more doors for Markle if she’s cast.
